US SMS Authentication Terms and Privacy Policy

Last updated: Sep 30, 2026

These Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions apply specifically to SMS-based authentication messages sent by Choppycast to users in the United States.

They apply only to Choppycast's SMS authentication service and do not replace or modify any separate contractual terms between Choppycast and its business customers.

SMS Authentication Program

Choppycast provides optional SMS-based multi-factor authentication ("SMS MFA") to authorized users of organizations using the Choppycast service.

Users are not automatically enrolled in SMS messaging. After signing in to Choppycast, a user may choose SMS as an available multi-factor authentication method. If SMS MFA is selected, the user provides or confirms their mobile phone number and explicitly chooses to use SMS for authentication.

Choppycast may then send SMS messages containing one-time authentication or security codes when required to sign in or verify access to the service.

SMS messages are used only for authentication and security purposes. They are not used for marketing or promotional communications.

Message frequency varies depending on the user's authentication activity.

Message and data rates may apply.

Changing or Disabling SMS Authentication

Users who no longer wish to use SMS authentication should select another available multi-factor authentication method in their Choppycast account settings or contact their organization's administrator to change their authentication configuration.

You may also reply STOP to stop receiving SMS messages at that phone number. Replying STOP blocks further SMS messages but does not change the authentication method configured for your Choppycast account. You should therefore configure another available authentication method if you no longer wish to use SMS authentication.

For assistance, reply HELP to the number from which you received the message or contact Choppycast support at https://www.choppycast.com/contact.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Disclosure to Service Providers

Choppycast may use third-party service providers, including authentication, hosting, telecommunications, and messaging providers, to provide SMS authentication.

These service providers may process mobile phone numbers and related information on Choppycast's behalf where necessary to provide, secure, or support the authentication service.

Service providers acting on our behalf are permitted to process this information only as necessary to provide the relevant services and are not authorized by Choppycast to use SMS opt-in information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS Opt-In Data and Consent

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Mobile information and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

The above does not prevent service providers acting on Choppycast's behalf from processing information solely as necessary to provide authentication, messaging, security, or related services.

Choppycast retains information associated with SMS authentication only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, comply with applicable obligations, and maintain appropriate authentication and security records.
